Viral! A Primary School Child Dares to Fight Off a Machete-Wielding Robber in Depok

The incident, which was captured on CCTV at a house, went viral on social media after being uploaded by the Instagram account @ndorobeii. Many people praised the child's brave actions.

1. Only Carrying Rp12,000

Shortly after, he was invited to appear on the Brownis Trans TV show as a guest star. The child, named Al, recounted the chronology of events when his motorcycle was being forcibly taken by the robber.

"At first, he asked for money because I had Rp12,000, then he demanded my motorcycle," said Al as quoted from Brownis Trans TV, Tuesday (11/2).

2. Asked for Help by Unknown Person

At that time, Al, who was playing in the park after school, was asked for help by two unknown people to push the person's motorcycle.

"He said he asked for help to push his friend's motorcycle. After that, I said I couldn't do it, then he said he would do it himself. Then he asked me to go around, and then he asked me to get off in the complex. He said he would give me money. When I found out, he only brought 12 thousand and told me to go away, he wanted to take the motorcycle," he said.

3. Reasons to Fight Against Muggers

Al then explained his reasons why he finally dared to fight against the two muggers. He reasoned that he was afraid of losing his motorcycle and being scolded by his parents.

"Because I was afraid of being scolded, because I was afraid of losing my motorcycle," he said.

During the fight against the mugger, Al apparently didn't know that one of the two muggers was carrying a sharp weapon. In fact, he was threatened to be slashed if he didn't hand over his motorcycle.

"At first, I didn't know, when he took out (the machete) he said 'I'll slash you, I'll slash you', then I knew he was carrying a machete," said Al.

5. Finally Able to Run

Al himself was quite clever and calm in facing the mugger. After knowing that his motorcycle would be forcefully taken, he took the key to his motorcycle so that it couldn't be used by the mugger.

He then fought for the key with the person, and in the end, he got the key. He then got off the motorcycle and ran while shouting for help.

"When we were fighting for the key, one of his friends kicked, I got the key, ran away, shouted for help," he explained.

6. Police in Pursuit

From the information circulating, the police have now moved to pursue the perpetrators of the mugging that occurred in Block A, Jl. Markisa Cinere, Depok.

Although the incident happened quite a while ago, the action of this elementary school child named Al is truly commendable. Despite having to fight against adults and risking his life, he remained brave and eventually succeeded. We should really applaud this hero's action.
