Kapanlagi.com - Fiersa Besari survived a bad weather incident while climbing Carstensz Pyramid or Puncak Jaya in Central Papua. He was part of a group of 15 climbers who started the expedition on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Two female climbers, Lilie Wijayanti Poegiono and Elsa Laksono, died from hypothermia while descending from the summit on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Fiersa and 12 other climbers survived and have been at the base camp, according to a statement from the Head of the Timika SAR Office, I Wayan Suyatna. However, the evacuation of Lilie Wijayanti's body was temporarily delayed due to bad weather and difficult access, but it has resumed on Monday, March 3, 2025.The day before, on March 2, 2025, Fiersa Besari's wife, Aqia Nurfadla, expressed her concern by sending a WhatsApp message that only showed one check mark to her husband’s number. She asked Fiersa to come home immediately, as on March 3, 2025, the 'Celengan Rindu' singer would be celebrating his 40th birthday. Right on his birthday, Fiersa gave good news and reported that he was safe.
