Kapanlagi.com - KLovers,KANG MAK, which is adapted from the popular Thai horror comedy titled PEE MAK, has been released in theaters since last Thursday (15/8/2024). On the fourth day of screening, this film directed by Herwin Novianto successfully garnered one million viewers. For this achievement, Herwin is certainly very grateful. Because KANG MAK has become his film that has surpassed the one million viewer mark. Vino G Bastian is aware that the film KANG MAK received negative responses solely because of its status as a remake. But remaking or adapting is indeed a trend in the global industry. "Many people say, ah another remake, another remake, just remakes. But the trend worldwide is indeed like that. Everyone is looking for big IPs whether it's from remakes, books, threads, or something that has gone viral to become an IP. But everyone has their own way to encourage the public to watch films," emphasized Vino.
