Heartbroken Due to the Massive LA Fire, Preity Zinta Reveals Her Condition There - Grateful to be Okay

Preity Zinta who now lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Gene Goodenough, their twins, and in-laws, assures her fans that she and her family are safe "for now". The wildfires that have been sweeping the area since the beginning of this week are still uncontrolled, and are expected to become one of the costliest natural disasters in U.S. history.

U.S. media reports state that the fire, which began on January 7, has forced over 30,000 residents, including many celebrities, to evacuate their homes. This fire has caused significant damage, and many videos circulating on social media show the scale of destruction that is very concerning.

Through her X account, Preity Zinta wrote an emotional note. She said, “I never thought I would live to see the day when fire scorched the environment around us in LA, with friends and family evacuated or on high alert.”

Preity continued, “Ash fell from the foggy sky like snow, and there was fear and uncertainty about what would happen if the winds did not calm down, while we were with toddlers and grandparents. My heart is broken seeing the devastation around us.”

She expressed her gratitude that her family was safe. “I thank God that we are safe for now,” she wrote. Preity also sent prayers for those affected, especially those who have lost everything due to this fire.

Preity also thanked the firefighters and everyone who worked hard to save lives and property. “May the winds calm down soon and the fire can be controlled,” she added. She closed her note with a message, “May everyone stay safe.”

In response to the spreading fire, California Governor Gavin Newsom has issued a state of emergency declaration for Los Angeles. This step was taken to expedite recovery efforts and disaster response.

Despite facing a difficult situation, Preity Zinta continues her career in the film industry. She will soon appear in Lahore 1947, an action film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition of India and stars alongside Sunny Deol. Originally scheduled for release on January 26, the film has now been postponed to June 2025 due to unfinished post-production processes.
