Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Maheep Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, has been preparing to make her debut in the Bollywood film industry through the movie "Bedhadak," backed by Karan Johar. However, the project, announced in 2022, had to be canceled, leaving Shanaya in a state of trauma.

Maheep Kapoor recently revealed this in the latest season of "Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives." Her daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, was supposed to make her Bollywood debut with the film "Bedhadak," backed by Karan Johar. However, after the film was indefinitely postponed, Shanaya felt traumatized.
In a more candid moment on the show, Maheep discussed the impact of this situation on herself and her family. "I am going through a mess in my head. I have exposed myself to my elderly parents, and Shanaya (after being infected with COVID-19). We all fell like dominoes," explained Maheep. She feels that this difficult situation is very heavy to endure.
Maheep continued, "Understand the trauma I experienced after Rekha (Maheep's housekeeper) passed away, when the doctor said that my elderly mother needed to be hospitalized." She felt unable to support Shanaya at such a critical time.
She also added, "Shanaya's film hasn't started. She's traumatized. You (Seema) need to intervene. I'm not there for her. But it's something she needs to understand, which she doesn't." Maheep explained that this situation has caused tension between her and her friend, Seema Sajdeh.
Despite the challenges faced, Shanaya appears determined to bounce back. In another episode, while playing a gratitude game with her mother and cousins, Khushi Kapoor and Jahaan Kapoor, Shanaya stated, “I am grateful for Pablo (her pet dog). That's a fact. And I look forward to starting to shoot again.”
It seems that Shanaya is currently working on a new project, as she had to miss Gauri Khan's party due to a tiring shooting schedule. Although "Bedhadak" never materialized, Shanaya is ready to make her acting debut in a pan-India film titled "Vrushabha," which also stars legendary actor Mohanlal.
This project has attracted a lot of attention, and it seems that Shanaya is embarking on a journey to realize her Bollywood dreams.
