In commemoration of the 77th Bhayangkara Day, several artists visited the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters to donate blood on Tuesday (27/6/2023). They include Ari Wibowo, Baim Wong, Teuku Zacky, Marcelino Lefrandt, Tarra Budiman, Jenny Rachman, Paramitha Rusyadi, Debby Sahertian, Olla Ramlan, and Elma Theana.
"Thank God the artists responded positively and were very happy to volunteer to donate blood and enliven this Life Heroes event," said Teuku Zacky.
According to Ari Wibowo, the blood donation event titled Life Heroes is an opportunity for him to do a good deed.
"It's perfect timing that I wanted to donate blood, but didn't know where to go, then I got a call. So, I'm happy to do it," said Ari Wibowo.
Ari Wibowo and other artists are urging the public not to be afraid to donate blood. Besides being able to help others in need of blood, it's also good for your own health.
"It's like a win-win solution. We donate blood to do something good for others but it's also something healthy for our own bodies. There's no downside at all," he said.
"The benefits are really felt, blood circulation becomes better, don't be afraid of feeling weak, because in fact the body becomes stronger," said Marcelino Lefrandt.
The blood donation event is a collaboration between the police and Multivision Plus (MVP) Production House.
"Life Heroes also gives motivation that everyone can be a hero in doing good deeds for others, one of which is through blood donation activities," said Ram Punjabi, MVP Producer.
Olla Ramlan admits to having a new hobby in exercising, which is running. She said she started running five months ago and it has now become a lifestyle.
