Being busy taking care of the little one has brought more than just hope for Baby Niken. She admits that her life is now more colorful and has a purpose.
"Now there is something I miss, life is more colorful and has more purpose, I want to take care of her growth well and become a good mother to Brisia," she recently said.
She admitted that in the beginning, she and her husband often stayed up all night taking care of the baby. Especially since there was no babysitter at that time. Thus, she and her husband had to take turns taking care of the little one.
"He wants me to always be ready for him, no matter what time he wakes up, especially when we didn't have a babysitter yet, so my husband and I took turns changing diapers and carrying him," she added.
Baby's struggle in giving birth to Brisia is still fresh in her memory. She initially planned for a caesarean section but ended up giving birth naturally.
"I gave birth to Brisia naturally and the next day she had to be admitted to the NICU, I was worried sick when she had to be put in an incubator because of jaundice. I was very panicked because it was my first experience as a mother and I was afraid something would happen to the baby," she said.
As a first-time mother, Baby Niken admitted that she was afraid to bathe her child alone. She only dared to bathe Brisia when she was 4 months old.
Now, Brisia and her family are Baby Niken's top priority. She doesn't often go out to play with her friends. In addition to taking care of her little one, she is also busy with her business and plans to run for office in 2024.
