Asri Welas and her husband, Galiech Rahardja, have just completed their divorce hearing at the Depok Religious Court on Tuesday (13/12/2024). The agenda for this hearing was mediation, which had also been conducted outside the court previously.

During the hearing, both parties informed the Panel of Judges that the mediation had resulted in a mutual agreement between them. After the hearing, Asri Welas and Galiech Rahardja made an open statement to the media.

"Yes, it was probably already conveyed, through our lawyer, that mediation has taken place. And for the next hearing, there will be a response from me regarding some other matters. So I also want to clarify first," said Galiech Rahardja at the Depok Religious Court (PA) on Tuesday (3/10/2024).

One of the issues Galiech wants to clarify is the news linking their divorce to the presence of a foreign man in the United States. He emphasized that the news is not true and is merely a hoax.

"This is me too, actually I know very well Ms. Asri, with her busyness. So I want to clarify a few things. The first one is regarding her foreign boyfriend in America. I have known Asri for more than 17 years. So I really know Asri," he said.

"So the news that the foreign boyfriend is linked to our divorce process is not true. That is a hoax. Because, you know, my colleagues also know. It has already been in Ms. Asri's Instagram story, where she stated that he is her work colleague from America," said Galiech.

Galiech also revealed the fact that the foreign man is Asri's work colleague in America. This has been clarified through Asri Welas's Instagram post.

"And then there was also in one of her stories, that Ms. Asri and that person had a meal together with his wife and children. So that proves, right, that he truly is her business partner. Because, you know, friends, Ms. Asri is multi-talented," she explained.

In addition to clarifying the issue, Galiech also appreciated Asri's multi-talented career. He praised Asri's busy schedule in the fashion world, especially with her own brand, Denyut Semesta.

"Besides her acting career, she is now also focusing on the fashion world. She is focusing on her brand, Denyut Semesta. If you all know, I might as well promote it. I might as well promote it already. Denyut Semesta is batik fabric made from recycled fabric. She is a fashion lover. Maybe the timeline is somewhat concurrent," he said.

Galiech added that Asri's departure to America is to develop the Denyut Semesta product. "Why is it that while in America, suddenly there's a divorce process? Well, the opportunity to go to New York isn't easy, right? Opportunities are very hard to come by," he said.

"Coincidentally, there was an opportunity that interested Ms. Asri to go there to learn how to develop products from Denyut Semesta. In the future, Asri Welas's products will be sold in stores in America," he continued.

With this clarification, Galiech hopes that the negative news circulating can soon subside. He also reiterated that the issue regarding the foreign man is not true.
