Mandra, the comedian known for his various iconic roles, shares a funny yet unique story about his interactions with fans. One of the most memorable moments for him was the enthusiastic moments with the mothers in the audience.
"Yeah, I’m more afraid of the fans who are mothers now, sometimes, oh dear," said Mandra when he was met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, recently.
Mandra revealed that there was an unexpected incident when fans were too eager to take photos with him. The uncontrolled push made him fall and suffer a minor injury.
"I once fell because of the pushing to take a photo. They didn’t see where I was positioned, just pushing. They asked for strange things," he recounted jokingly.
When asked about his wife's jealousy regarding his interactions with fans, especially the mothers, Mandra explained that it is a human thing. However, his wife understands the situation quite well.
"If it's the mothers, sorry, those who stick around like that are not teenagers; if they were teenagers, it would be normal. Sometimes my wife doesn't look anywhere else, but when it comes to mothers, their behavior can be strange, my wife is very resigned to it," said Mandra.
Nevertheless, Mandra admits that feelings of jealousy are still normal in his marriage.
However, he considers it a common occurrence in husband and wife relationships. "Yes, it's human nature," Mandra replied briefly.
One of the most memorable experiences for him was the moment when the fans did not pay attention to his physical condition, which was not well. This made his children have to step in to calm the situation.
"That was it, sometimes generally it ends up being the mothers who want something. Sometimes I lose control, as I said, I jumped in until I got sick, my child said, 'Dad, please, my father is not healthy because he just fell, please don’t.' Wow, I got hit with a bag, it felt like a joke," he recounted with a smile.
Mandra considers those experiences as part of the dynamics of his life as a public figure. Although he often faces unexpected situations, he still appreciates the love and support from his fans.
"He saw my benchmark there. Anyway, the target is always unpleasant like that," he concluded.
