Marshel Widianto used to be under the management of Dede, the younger brother of comedian Denny Cagur.
In May 2023, Denny revealed that the comedian would no longer be joining there.
Denny's statement on the television show then became the public's spotlight. Because from there they judged that Marshel was like a peanut forgetting its shell.
"Yes, that's how people are. When they come poor and then change when they're rich. So I experienced trauma. Come like this (walking hunched over), when they have money, huaaah (standing with puffed chest)," Denny said as quoted from FYP Trans 7 broadcast.
When asked about Denny Cagur's statement, Marshel Widianto admitted that he had indeed made a mistake.
He did not deny that he had done something disappointing to Denny and Dede, even though they were the ones who helped advance his career in the entertainment industry.
"That's true. It is true that I have disappointed many people. Not only Kang Denny, but also his younger brother, my manager, Mr. Dede," said Marshel when met in the Mampang Prapatan area, South Jakarta, on Monday (8/7/2024).
However, the relationship between Denny Cagur, Dede, and Marshel Widianto has improved.
Marshel has apologized directly and there are no longer any issues between them.
"I admit that (mistake) and I apologize directly to Pak Dede and also Kang Denny. And this is all clear," said the husband of Cesen former JKT48.
Marshel Widianto admits that his problem with Denny Cagur has been resolved.
