Kapanlagi.com - Tears of emotion colored the wedding ceremony of Aaliyah Massaid and Thariq Halilintar. In fact, tears from Reza Artamevia, Aaliyah's mother, fell when her daughter asked for her blessing just before Thariq uttered the vows.
This moment became very emotional for everyone present, adding to the sacredness of the event.
According to Aaliyah Massaid, she has been overwhelmed with sadness for the past two weeks. Especially when remembering the mistakes she made towards her parents before stepping into marriage with Thariq Halilintar.
"So emotional, already mellow, it's been almost two weeks that when I see my mother, I feel mellow. More like remembering as a child, I have sinned a lot to my parents," said Aaliyah Massaid at the Raffles Hotel, South Jakarta, Friday (26/7/2024).
Aaliyah added that although her responsibilities have now shifted to Thariq, her mother will not feel a loss.
"Now the responsibility has shifted to brother Thariq. But God willing, now my mother will actually have more children, she won't lose anyone but will gain more," Aaliyah expressed with deep emotion.
Aaliyah and Thariq acknowledged that the wedding ceremony was a very sacred and tense moment for them. Especially for Thariq, who admitted he had to remember Aaliyah's rather long name.Â
"Honestly, it was really nerve-wracking, because your name is quite long. But thank God (it went smoothly). Earlier, I didn't take a single breath, darling, so when I spoke, I just went straight for it. That's why it was so quick," Thariq expressed.
The wedding ceremony of Aaliyah and Thariq adopted the Javanese Panggih tradition. Aaliyah looked stunningly beautiful with the paes decoration on her face.
Meanwhile, Thariq looked dashing in a white beskap. Their presence in traditional attire added elegance to the event.
From the beginning, Thariq and Aaliyah wanted to showcase various cultures in their wedding. This includes the reception that will be held tonight at the same location.
"We really wanted to show our culture from the start of the event series. So we made sure to incorporate our cultures. From Sundanese culture, Solo Javanese culture, and then there’s the culture of Padang, Bukittinggi," Thariq explained.
In addition to close relatives, the wedding of Thariq Halilintar and Aaliyah was also attended by important figures.
