In the funeral, the personnel of Steven & Coconut Treez can be seen accompanying the vocalist's body to his final resting place.

Steven's son and manager speaks up about the cause of the vocalist's death. According to him, Steven had contracted Covid-19 and was treated at the hospital.

"It's Covid, bro. He was treated at Medika Hospital," he said when contacted by KapanLagi.com on Tuesday (22/06/2021).

According to bassist Steven & Coconut Treez, Rival Himran said that for the past few years, Tepeng has been struggling to fight his pain.

"Yes, honestly, for the past few years he has been enduring the pain. There is a pain that requires special treatment," said Rival Himran as quoted from Steven and Coconut Treez's Instagram, Tuesday (22/6/2021).

Rival Himran did not explain in detail about the illness suffered by the vocalist. What is clear is that after fighting the pain for several years, Tepeng successfully overcame his illness.

"The bottom line is that he managed to get through it all and yesterday he was able to stabilize. But, honestly, the illness eventually sent him a virus that made his condition more dangerous," he said.

As a close friend, he also asked for prayers from the public to pray for Tepeng. "Please pray, my friends, hopefully he has a good ending, his sins are forgiven, and all of his good deeds are accepted. Amen, O Allah," he said.
