Deddy Mizwar, who is both the producer and main actor in Lorong Waktu, explained that the latest season of this soap opera will address issues occurring in society. This aims to ensure that the story presented is not only engaging but also provides valuable lessons for the audience.
"Actually, this idea I want to raise is that the young Muslim generation must be brave and smart. Not blind to technology, if necessary, become technology experts. That's why the basis is in the mosque," said Deddy Mizwar in the Pondok Kelapa area, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/1/2025).
Deddy added that this 7th season of Lorong Waktu is not only aimed at children but also at teenagers and parents. This soap opera is designed as family entertainment that can be enjoyed together, so the values instilled can be accepted by all ages.
"This reborn time corridor concerns children, teenagers, and parents. So this is family entertainment," he said.
Deddy also realized that there are currently very few shows that can serve as alternative choices for children, especially those containing Islamic values. This has become increasingly highlighted considering the importance of early moral education within the family. Therefore, Lorong Waktu is back with the hope of being a beneficial viewing option during the month of Ramadan.
"Actually, we realize that there are very few shows for children. We are looking for alternative Islamic children's shows," Deddy explained.
The return of Lorong Waktu to the screen is also an answer to the public's longing for this once highly popular soap opera. The enthusiasm of the public is clearly visible, especially on social media, where many comments express nostalgia for the characters and stories that were once popular in the past. The soap opera Lorong Waktu 7 will introduce a number of new faces as well as some familiar actors who are no strangers to the Indonesian entertainment world. Deddy Mizwar, Agus Kuncoro, Tika Bravani, Renaga Taher, Baiti Syaghaf, and Miqdad Addausy will join in to enliven this latest season.
