This is Lidya's portrait after getting out of prison.
Lidya herself, who now goes by the name Maria Eleanor, didn't expect to be free. She even claimed that her life had ended since her release.
"I thought at that time, I couldn't possibly sit now. I thought today wouldn't exist, everything would just end like that. I didn't know, never thought there would be phases of 'oh yes, I want to calculate going home', wanting to get freedom. No, I thought everything was finished like this, this is my life's path, so I accepted it. Tried sincerely but in reality, what's above has the power, God still provides another way," he said as quoted by YouTube channel Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
It is said that Lidya has been free since 2013. However, because of trauma and guilt, she instead became afraid to meet many people.
"When I was outside, I was scared of meeting people. Because everyone knows, it's no longer a public secret what happened to me and who caused it. Because family is the first environment, my front line. But, I fell because of them," she concluded.
