Ariel Tatum shares unforgettable moments while performing as a Jaipong dancer in Osaka-Japan. Wearing a black kebaya with beautiful batik fabric, complete with a long green shawl, Ariel Tatum's smile looks beautiful.
"A flashback to one morning in Osaka, we danced accompanied by the sounds of traditional Sundanese gamelan from @swarantara_, as well as the romantic drizzle of rain," she recalled the moment (29/4/2025).
"I never expected to be blessed with so many dancing opportunities these past few years. It started with traditional dancing for school performances, then learning Javanese dance as a form of dynamic meditation for personal enjoyment, and then moving on to learn Jaipongan for the Lestari Tradisi performance in Sukabumi," said Ariel.
"She even danced the Ronggeng Gunung for the monologue of Sang Kembang Bale, eehhh suddenly at the beginning of this month she danced Jaipong again, but with a few moves of pencak silat @iko.uwais and @uwais.team at the opening event of the Indonesian Pavilion, at the Osaka World Expo 2025," she explained.
"It truly is an exciting experience. I hope that in the future, there will be even more exciting stories of learning new dances. From Sabang to Merauke, we have been blessed with various extraordinary types of dances that are rich in meaning and have unique characteristics," said Ariel.
"Also, I hope that Indonesia's cultural heritage continues to resonate, crossing borders, and becoming more known and appreciated by the world. HAPPY DANCE DAY. What should we learn this year, yaaaaa?" she asked.
