The arrest of Fachri Albar on Sunday (4/20/2025) night in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, drew public attention. The 42-year-old actor was secured alone at his residence by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit.
In his statement, the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi, emphasized that all drug evidence found at the location was acknowledged as the personal property of Fachri. No one else was involved in the case. Here are the complete details.
"At the time the team conducted the arrest, only brother FA was found at home. And according to his confession, this evidence was used solely by him," said Kombes Pol Twedi, Thursday (24/4/2025).
The evidence found was considerable, including meth, marijuana, cocaine, and dozens of alprazolam pills. In addition, the police also found other equipment such as glass pipes, plastic bongs, metal spoons, and modified lighters.
"Four used glass pipes, two pieces of plastic, one plastic bong bottle with a modified cap, one small metal spoon, four modified lighters," he explained.
Regarding the reasons for using the illegal substances, the police stated that Fachri consumed them as an escape from the pressures of life and work that he was facing.
"The results of the FA statement, using narcotics and psychotropic substances, are facing personal and work life challenges," stated Kombes Pol Twedi further.
This case adds to the long list of Indonesian celebrities who have fallen back into drug problems despite having previously served sentences. Fachri himself was rehabilitated for seven months after being arrested in 2018.
"As for the usage, perhaps you already know that the person in question has been involved in a similar case before. There is a possibility that after being punished in the past, the person still continued to use," continued Kombes Pol Twedi.
"We have conveyed that the team is completing the documents and will submit them to the prosecutor's office," he concluded. Now, Fachri Albar has officially been detained.
