In his social media post on April 11, 2025, Vidi Aldiano expressed his deep condolences for the passing of Titiek Puspa forever as a senior artist and also a beloved grandmother whom he respected.
Vidi expressed his feelings about the passing of his grandmother. "My dear grandmother…Thank you for all the good prayers, guidance to always create meaningful works, and also the unparalleled support for my health, both physical and mental all this time…" he revealed.
"We have considered grandma as the third grandmother in this family for a long time, I truly feel a great loss. It breaks my heart that I couldn't be there because I am still struggling to be healthy in this foreign land right now..." he continued. Â
"Grandma is no longer in pain. May all of Grandma's legacies in the form of works continue to live on for us, the sons and daughters of the nation. We love you always Grandma Titiek, my hero, the hero of Indonesian music," Vidi concluded.Â
As is known, Grandma Titiek Puspa became one of the respected individuals who offered prayers during Vidi Aldiano's water blessing ceremony before his marriage. She even gave the first blessing before Vidi's own parents. Â
That is why Vidi feels very regretful for not being able to attend the funeral in person, and feels a great loss upon learning that Titiek Puspa has passed away. Especially since he is also undergoing treatment for the cancer he is suffering from.Â
