The passing of Titiek Puspa leaves a deep sorrow for the famous dangdut singer, Inul Daratista. Inul, who came with her husband, Adam Suseno, appeared unable to hold back her tears from the moment she arrived until the end of the funeral procession.
"She is a maestro, a legend, someone we are proud of. Across presidents, she has contributed to Indonesian music. I feel very close to Eyang," said Inul Daratista when met at TPU Tanah Kusir, Kebayoran, South Jakarta, Friday (11/4/2025).
Inul reminisces about the late Titiek Puspa as a person who was not only great on stage but also humble and full of sincerity when sharing her knowledge with others.
"Grandma really helped, a free teacher, with a lot of knowledge, no payment, and she sincerely gave it all," said the singer of 'Buaya Buntung'.
Inul did not expect that the departure of Titiek Puspa would make her this sad. She feels the loss of a role model who has been a place for learning and sharing stories.
For her, the presence of Grandma in her life is an irreplaceable blessing. A figure who always comes with warm words of wisdom and advice.
One of the messages from Eyang that left a lasting impression on Inul is about the importance of being a good and generous person. "You have to be a good person, you must be humble, don't forget to share with those in need, thank you," she recalled while sobbing.
The deep sorrow was still very palpable from Inul's expression throughout the funeral proceedings. Her tears fell as she scattered flowers on Titiek Puspa's grave.
