1. Case of Fraud in Palu Marathon Competition

Nomoni International Marathon Championship held in Palu on September 25, 2016, sparked a controversy. The reason is, several winners of the championship have not received their deserved prizes, namely the promised amount of money.

Feeling deceived, several winners of the competition reported the Event Organizer (EO). Not only that, many suspected that the Palu Regional Government, where Pasha Ungun was also present, was involved in the event.  

2. Paying a Rent of Rp1 Billion House from Palu's APBD

Several months after the incident became public, Pasha Ungu once again became the center of attention. This is related to the payment of Pasha's luxury house rent in Palu worth Rp1 billion, which turned out to be charged to the APBD funds. 

The Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Palu City urged the City Government to stop paying Pasha's rent. The man born on November 27, 1979, aged 37, rented a luxury residence in the Citra Land elite housing complex.

Still in the same year, 2016, Pasha Ungu received criticism after his photo went viral on the internet. At that time, this 40-year-old man wore an outfit with various pins or emblems mixed up in a photo.

And true enough, not long after the photo became popular, Pasha was heavily criticized for not reflecting the image of a public official.

Not even a year into his duty as the Deputy Mayor of Palu, Pasha Ungu caused another problem. Despite holding a position as a public official, he apparently still had time to perform with Ungu in Singapore.

As a result, he was reprimanded by the Chairman of the Palu Regional People's Representative Council for the concert. Ahmad M Ali, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission III on Legal and Legislative Affairs, spoke up and asked Pasha to focus on his duties as the Deputy Mayor by providing services to the community.

5. Skin Fade Hairstyle

It can be said that every year since he took office in 2016, Pasha Ungu has not been free from controversy. Specifically in 2018, once again Pasha was criticized for his new hairstyle. 

At that time, Pasha, who was a guest on a TV show, appeared in a government uniform with a skin fade hairstyle. As a result, he was immediately heavily criticized by the public. 

6. Handling the Palu Earthquake

Serving for two years, Pasha Ungu was faced with a major trial in 2018. Yes, at that time Central Sulawesi was hit by a major earthquake, causing widespread destruction in Palu and Donggala.

The disaster then became crowded with rumors that Pasha did not work to the maximum as the Deputy Mayor of Palu. Eventually, Pasha spoke up and stated that he was ready to step down from his position if it was proven that he did not work to the maximum.  

7. Blonde Hair

Long time no hear, Pasha Ungu suddenly appeared with a surprising appearance to the public. Still serving as the Deputy Mayor of Palu, Pasha appeared with short and blonde hair.

His appearance immediately sparked criticism and insults. Even the Minister of Home Affairs teased the appearance of this father of 4 children. Aware of the controversy surrounding his new hair, Pasha finally shaved it all off until it was bald.

8. Potbelly and Pencil Pants

Not long ago, Pasha Ungu received criticism from netizens. This is related to his appearance during the commemoration of the Indonesian Independence Day on August 17, 2020.

Taking a photo with his wife, Pasha's potbelly received many comments. Not only his stomach, but also the uniform he wore was criticized. According to netizens, it is inappropriate for the Deputy Mayor's uniform to be designed as pencil pants.
