Kapanlagi.com - Actor and YouTuber Denny Sumargo does not feel worried even though he has been reported by lawyer Farhat Abbas to the South Jakarta Metro Police.
The report was filed over alleged hate speech supposedly committed by Denny. Nevertheless, Denny claims he does not want to prolong this issue and continues to strive for peace.
Denny emphasizes that from the beginning he never intended to sow hostility with anyone, including Farhat Abbas.
On the same occasion, Denny also confirmed Farhat's statement that he would confront him. For that, Denny decided to go directly to Farhat's house with good and peaceful intentions.
"I have already made peace from the beginning, you are witnesses. I consider it clear with him as well, I won't prolong anything. If you were in my position, something has to be done," said Denny Sumargo in the Bendungan Hilir area, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/11/2024).
With the growing issue, Denny felt the need to clarify, especially to the Bugis Makassar community. He felt that this matter was his personal affair with Farhat and should not be a public concern.
"With this issue, I have to come here. It should be the other party that apologizes. If it's about my matter with Farhat, let's go, that's a personal issue, right," he said.
Nevertheless, Denny does not rule out the possibility of resolving this matter amicably. As a good citizen, he is ready to face all the consequences of the report filed by Farhat Abbas.
"If we want to resolve it amicably, let's settle it amicably. It means I am being reported, so I will face it, right," he said.
Denny also added that he does not feel emotional or upset regarding the report.
"Which heat is it, I'm not hot. But if you get reported, you have to face it. I'm not attacking, maybe not yet," concluded Denny Sumargo.
After the trial, Fuji, who was present at the hearing, expressed her satisfaction with the decision. According to her, the legal process that proceeded quite quickly has provided the justice she hoped for.
