Unang Bagito, a popular comedian in the 80s and 90s, actually has a unique fact. Unang has a unique collection of wooden canes. The wooden canes can be used as decorations or as a tobacco pipe. Unang admitted to the KapanLagi.com team that his hobby of collecting wooden canes started around 2017.

"Approximately 3 years before the pandemic, the idea came from a friend at the pesantren (Islamic boarding school). I saw him enjoying cutting wood, so I became interested and bought carving tools to carve wood. Then I tried and it turns out I can make canes," said Unang Bagito.

Unang does not sell his wooden cane collection. However, if there are friends who want to buy them, Unang does not set a specific price.

"Currently, I have made around 20 canes. I don't sell them, I just keep them as a collection. Sometimes I bring them along and if someone is interested, they can buy them, whatever price they want to give," Unang continued.

Unang then explained that the characteristic of all his cane collections is the decoration of rings as sweeteners. That is a spontaneous idea that emerged from this 61-year-old man.

"All my cane collections have rings as decorations on the hollowed-out cane as sweeteners to at least add grandeur to the cane. (The idea) came to my mind, oh there's a hole, let me patch it with a gemstone ring," he continued.
