Kapanlagi.com - Musician Ardhito Pramono is known as one of the successful musicians with a career journey full of struggles. Although he is now widely recognized, Ardhito started his music career from the bottom.

He began to dive into the music world while studying abroad. At that time, he utilized the YouTube platform to create music content and busked on the streets of Sydney to earn some pocket money.

"My music career actually started from college, from 2012 when I was in college. In the beginning, I was really into YouTube and then during college, I also busked on the streets, but in Sydney. It's different, right? Haha," Ardhito said, laughing.

At the beginning of his journey, this 29-year-old singer had to be independent, especially regarding finances. His parents only paid for his tuition, while he had to earn money for his living expenses. He busked, worked in fast food, and even became a barista to meet those needs.

"Because my dad doesn't give me pocket money, he only pays for my tuition, and that was only in the first year. Then I really had to find money on my own, from busking to working in fast food. Then I became a barista, so I had three jobs," he said.

Those difficult experiences taught Ardhito many lessons. He learned that appreciation, no matter how small, from others can be a huge motivation to keep creating.

Sometimes, the appreciation that comes from people passing by, like a smile or a coin, becomes the spirit for Ardhito to continue making music.

"No way (big payment), just a thank you is definitely there. And then, at the beginning of making music, I was paid with coins. Given coins, there were a few people whose gestures I could observe as they passed by, smiling, giving money—that's what kept me creating through music," said Ardhito.

However, even though he has started to be recognized, Ardhito's journey in the music world has not been smooth. There are many challenges and disappointments he has to face.

One of them is the disappointment with his manager. Ardhito also shared that experience in a podcast with Iga Massardi.

"There are so many challenges, sadness, and disappointments regarding my manager, and then I discussed this a lot in an external podcast with Iga Masardi, there were so many disappointments," said Ardhito.
