Revalina S. Temat still often receives compliments for looking youthful. However, for this 39-year-old actress, changes in her acting career serve as a reminder that she is no longer young.
Now, she more often gets roles as mothers in soap operas, something that was initially quite surprising for her. Nevertheless, Revalina continues to accept this change with an open heart and is grateful that she can still create.
Once often playing cheerful and energetic teenage characters, now Revalina mostly gets roles as mothers facing various challenges in the household.
"They are no longer big siblings, their roles are no longer teenagers. Most of them are now already mothers of one, two, three, and their children are in high school," she said while laughing, reminiscing about her career journey.
She admitted that this change in roles was quite surprising because she had always been given younger characters, but now she has to adapt to more mature roles.
Although she initially felt unaccustomed to the role of a mother, she is trying to embrace this new challenge and continue to deliver her best acting.
"I'm not used to roles as mothers, but it has to be done and accepted, embraced," she said, emphasizing that she does not want to reject the blessings that come her way.
She is grateful to still be able to act and receive support from her family who always motivates her to continue creating in the entertainment world.
"I just embrace it, I'm grateful to still be able to act and thank God my family always supports me," she said with a sense of gratitude and optimism.
Revalina continues to enjoy her work as an actress and does not want to think too much about her age in the entertainment world, but rather continues to hone her skills to remain relevant.
