Minola Sebayang, who was appointed by Tengku Dewi Putri as her legal representative, said that initially her client did not discuss the issue of divorce.
Tengku Dewi Putri discussed with Minola whether the affair committed by her husband, Andrew Andika, together with Soraya Rasyid, could be reported to the police.
"Initially, Dewi wanted to bring this case to the criminal realm," said Minola when met at his office in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Friday (24/5/2024).
Following Tengku Dewi Putri's desire, Minola consulted the police. He asked for guidance on which jurisdiction would be appropriate to accommodate his client's report.
"We have consulted with one of the Police Chiefs regarding the appropriate jurisdiction if we want to report," said Minola Sebayang.
Before making a police report, Tengku Dewi Putri chose to cancel her intention. The reason is that Tengku Dewi Putri does not want to further damage Andrew Andika's image in the eyes of their children.
"After all, Andrew is the father of their children," said Minola Sebayang.
In addition, Andrew Andika is also the backbone of his family. Therefore, after careful consideration of the impact that would arise from making a report, Tengku Dewi Putri chose to cancel her intention.
"Andrew is also the backbone of the family. This is outside their family, meaning his mother. So he doesn't want to have such a big impact. Finally, he just focuses on his household problems," said Minola Sebayang.
After that, Tengku Dewi Putri finally chose not to be heartbroken anymore about Andrew Andika's repeated infidelity. Next week, Minola will file for divorce at the Cibinong Religious Court, West Java.
"Maybe next week we can already register the lawsuit," Minola Sebayang concluded.
