Lidya Pratiwi, who went viral for being involved in the murder of her lover, has been released from prison. She received a remission of 30 months and was completely released on November 24, 2018.

In early December 2013, Lidya applied to change her name at the West Jakarta District Court. On December 25, her name officially changed to Maria Eleanor.

Initially, Maria had no plans to publicize her social media presence since being involved in a murder case in 2006. However, recently, she changed her decision and created a new social media account.

Lidya herself has actually received offers to become a commercial star after being released from prison. However, the woman born on January 14, 1987, still does not want to accept the offer.

"In the beginning, when I just got home, there was an offer for a commercial product. But honestly, back then, I still wasn't ready, you know, just finished my time in the dormitory. So I haven't thought about it, haven't had the confidence to accept the offer," she said.

She also said that she is not closing the possibility of returning to acting if she gets the opportunity in the future.

"If you're ready for anything, I can't answer. I mean, whatever trust is given by friends from PH, from anywhere, hopefully I can be ready for anything. But specifically preparing myself for specific tasks, I don't know," he added.

Lidya herself was sentenced to 14 years in prison for being considered guilty of assisting in the murder of her lover, Naek Gonggom Hutagalung. The mastermind behind the murder was her own uncle and mother, Tony Yusuf and Vince Yusuf.
