9 Photos of Uya Kuya Ensures Not to Upload Videos in Front of the Fire Victim's House in LA, Reveals the Condition of His Children's Living Space

Kapanlagi.com - Uya Kuya provides clarification regarding the viral video of him with his family creating content in front of a burnt house in Altadena, Los Angeles. In the video, Uya and his family are seen at the fire location, which triggered various reactions from the public.

"If we look at it, there are many who are pro and con as well. Many say we are outside, that's public space and we don't spotlight the house number," said Uya when contacted by reporters on Sunday (19/1/2025).

Uya admitted that he understands the discomfort of the homeowner who feels disturbed by his family's presence at the location. He explained that the warning from the homeowner was received well, and he immediately stopped the activity there.

"We understand the feelings of the homeowner when they don't want their house to be filmed. We don't blame them, we understand," said Uya.

According to Uya, the homeowner actually recorded his family before eventually reprimanding them. After being reprimanded, Uya immediately stopped filming and deleted the video. He also decided to move to another location that wouldn't cause similar issues.

"We were surprised because we didn't know; he filmed for a long time before reprimanding us from behind. Then many also said, 'why didn't you reprimand us directly?' Because when we were reprimanded, we understood, 'oh yeah,' when told to stop filming, we stopped filming," he said.

Uya ensures that the video was never uploaded to social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube. According to him, the video was only shared with friends and media colleagues in Indonesia who requested it.

"That was also a video after that, not on our reels, TikTok, or YouTube. We sent it to our friends in Indonesia who asked for it," explained Uya.

When the fire incident occurred, Uya ensured that his family was safe even though the location of the incident was quite close to his residence. His children, Cinta and Nino, were also in America for school.

"At the time of the incident, we were there. And we had a power outage. Waiting for news, but thank God our area was not included in the evacuation. It’s only 15 minutes from home to there," said Uya.

Although safe, the impact of the fire is still felt in their living environment. "Safe, but in terms of air quality, the ash reaches here. Because it's carried by the wind," he said.
