The house is located in an area where the land price now reaches Rp 40 million per square meter, with a total building area of 650 square meters and an estimated land price of Rp 2.4 billion.

Previously, Mona Ratuliu, her husband, and their children lived in an apartment. Under one roof, there were 10 people residing. As the children grew older, Mona felt that they needed their own rooms. Ultimately, they decided to renovate their old house.

"Actually, this was forced, since we have 3 kids living in the apartment. Because of the pandemic, my mom moved in with us. Then we had another child, and there was a niece whose mother passed away from Covid, so we took her in. So that made 10 people in one apartment," said Mona Ratuliu at the FYP event, quoted from YouTube Trans7, Friday (5/7/2024).

This couple also used interior design services to facilitate the decoration process. They admitted to not experiencing much disagreement in choosing the design, although there was a slight debate about the type of tree to be planted in the garden.
