Kapanlagi.com - The departure of Ashraf Sinclair left a deep wound for the entire Indonesian public, including Daniel Mananta. The famous presenter was known to be good friends with Bunga Citra Lestari, the wife of the late Ashraf.
During his friendship with BCL, Daniel also became close to Ashraf. In fact, the 38-year-old man admitted to having many memories with the late Ashraf. Daniel revealed this through an IG TV post he made recently.
"So maybe this is my first IG TV and I want to talk about Ashraf Sinclair. It hits me so much. I want to talk about the impact Ashraf had on me, where we had conversations about work," Daniel opened up in his IG TV video post.

Daniel invites his followers to take a little flashback to the past. Apparently, there is one thing that makes the A MAN CALLED AHOK movie star so amazed by the late Ashraf Sinclair.
"Maybe for those who don't know, he (Ashraf) is one of the investors, entrepreneurs that I really respect. He worked at a company called 500 Startup, which is very elite, very cool, and I really respect him for being associated with that company," praised Daniel.
On one occasion, Daniel had a conversation with Ashraf about work matters. From the initial small talk, Daniel was suddenly shocked when he found out that the late Ashraf, who had English and Malaysian blood, had quit the big company.
"I remember at an event, I talked to Ashraf, 'How is it, bro, being an entrepreneur at 500 Startup?', and he said, 'I'm not there anymore'. I was quite surprised, why? He said being a startup investor is very intense and takes up a lot of time," continued Daniel.
Besides the immense pressure, it turns out there was another important reason underlying Ashraf's decision to quit his job at that time. And from there, Daniel finally learned a very important lesson that will never be forgotten.
"The reason he left was actually because he wanted to prioritize his time for something more important, 'That's part of my identity, I want to move on and now I want to focus on my identity as a father and husband'. And I was just silent, shocked. He said, 'Don't let what we do become our identity, don't let our job become our most important identity,'" Daniel recalled.
Ashraf's expression seemed like a slap in the face for Daniel, who had been so focused on pursuing his career as a presenter. Thanks to the late Ashraf's statement, Daniel finally started learning to change his focus in work and family matters, because as we know, the handsome presenter already has a wife and child.
"For example, from my own experience. Daniel Mananta is a presenter. But because I felt that was my identity, I really pursued anything in my life and death to become a better presenter. Who am I going to impress? I also have to know that my identity is actually a father, a husband. I shouldn't let being a presenter consume my identity and sacrifice other identities. And that's what Ashraf told me and I still remember it until now. And I think it's great because it takes courage to let go of something comfortable for him in a very big company," Daniel concluded.
