The alleged threat case reported by actress Erika Carlina against Giovanni Surya alias DJ Panda has entered a new chapter. The Metro Jaya Police have officially elevated the status of the report to the investigation stage after finding elements of a crime.

This significant development indicates the seriousness of the authorities in handling this public interest case. The status upgrade was made after investigators from the Subdirectorate of Women's and Children's Protection at the Metro Jaya Police held a case review.
The Head of the Child Protection Sub-Directorate at the Metro Jaya Police, AKBP Iskandarsyah, directly confirmed the latest developments in this case. According to him, sufficient preliminary evidence has been found to proceed with legal action to the next level. "The investigation has begun," said AKBP Iskandarsyah at the Metro Jaya Police on Tuesday (7/10/2025).
With the elevation of the case status, the police will soon summon and examine DJ Panda as the reported party. The police have set a schedule for DJ Panda's examination.
According to Iskandarsyah, DJ Panda is scheduled to provide his statement next week. The examination has been specifically scheduled. "The examination will be next week, on Wednesday," he said.
Erika Carlina's report is registered with the number LP/B/ 5027/VII/2025/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya. In her report, Erika accuses DJ Panda of several layered articles, including Article 335 of the Criminal Code, Article 28 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 of the ITE Law, and Article 65 Paragraph (2) of Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection.
This allegation of threats was first revealed by the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi. According to him, the threats were sent by the reported party through a WhatsApp group containing messages that would damage the actress's career.
"The reported party sent messages through a WhatsApp group threatening to destroy the victim's career," said Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi on Friday (25/7/2025).
