After her Instagram account was filled with criticism, Rinni explained that the removal of the Keke Bukan Boneka video from YouTube was done by the copyright owner. She, as the singer who popularized the song, cannot do such thing.
"Hello everyone! It seems that there is something that needs to be clarified due to the overflowing comments on my social media posts.
Regarding the takedown of the Keke Bukan Boneka song, it is beyond my authority. It is a decision made by Sony Music ID and Novi Umar as the copyright owner of Aku Bukan Boneka, where Sony Music is no longer my label."
Rinni then continued to explain why there was a claim in the missing video stating that it belongs to the song Aku Bukan Boneka - Rini Idol. According to her, this is a common occurrence for all videos that are removed from YouTube due to copyright claims.
"Why does it say 'Copyright claimed by Rini Idol - Aku Bukan Boneka'? Well, videos that are taken down by YouTube always mention the original title of the song and singer. So, my name along with the song title is mentioned there.
Hopefully, you all can understand what is happening right now. I hope you all stay healthy and happy," she concluded.
