Accused of Supporting Gambling by Promoting Trading Applications, Indra Kenz: That's Not True!

Kapanlagi.com - Crazy rich from Medan, Indra Kesuma or better known as Indra Kenz visited the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, on Monday (7/2/2022).

Accompanied by Wardaniman Larosa as his legal counsel, Indra met with investigators to discuss allegations of defamation concerning accusations of legalizing a fraudulent investment scheme called 'Binary Option'.

Previously, Indra Kenz became a hot topic as he was accused of fraud in trading binary options through the Binomo application. There were eight people who claimed to be victims of trading binary options on the Binomo application and filed a police report, in which one of the suspects was Indra Kenz. 

Regarding this matter, Indra Kenz spoke up. He claimed to have been harmed by the circulating rumors that he cheated through trading binary options and/or the Binomo application.

"Well, I am a user of binary options trading. But here, it seems like I am the one causing losses. But that's not true," said Indra Kenz at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, on Monday (7/2/2022).

1. Has Been Running for a Long Time in Indonesia

Indra Kenz said that service provider applications like that have been around in Indonesia for a long time. In fact, he mentioned that they have been around since 2010.

"Well, what needs to be known is that binary option platforms like Binomo or others have been running in Indonesia for quite a long time. It's been since 2010 and above," he said.

"As a user, it should be noted that anyone can register there, can use the application, whether they profit or lose, it's their own responsibility," he added.

2. Not Violating Gambling Laws

A man named Indra Kesuma mentioned that binary options do not violate Article 303 related to gambling.

"That's why I want to continue this. Actually, it's not gambling. It's just rumors that I'm promoting gambling. That's not true," he said.

3. Consultation

Indra Kenz, along with his lawyer, Wardaniman Larosa, visited the Jakarta Metro Police on Monday (7/2/2022). His visit was for consultation, as he felt disturbed by the rumors and accusations he has received, alleging that he engaged in fraudulent activities with binary options trading or the Binomo application.

"Who started this? This is what we need to coordinate. We are more focused on seeking consultation, asking why this happened," said Indra Kenz.

4. Want to Clarify

Meanwhile, Indra's lawyer, Wardaniman Larosa, explained that their visit and Indra's intention is to clarify the issues faced by his client.

"We want to clarify that there should not be individuals in the public who make statements that could harm our client, Mr. Indra Kenz," he said.

"We hope the public will also be more cautious in issuing statements that harm our client, as we will not hesitate to take legal action," Wardaniman Larosa concluded.

Previously reported, eight individuals who claimed to be victims of binary option trading or the Binomo application, filed a police report at Bareskrim Polri on February 3, 2022.

The police report made by the eight victims of binary option trading or Binomo is believed to be directed towards one of them, Indra Kenz. The police report of the eight victims is recorded at SPKT Bareskrim with the number STTL/29/II/2022/BARESKRIM.
