Afgan Reveals Personal Diary Through Mirror Perspective Technology at 'Retrospective' Concert

Kapanlagi.com - The "Retrospective: The Concert" by Afgan, which will be held at JCC on July 18, will not only highlight musicality but also visuals. The creative team has prepared a stage concept that will narrate the singer's life journey personally.

Head Creative, Saptoto Prasetyo, explained that the audience will be invited to see another side of Afgan through visuals that have never been displayed before. This stage concept is a combination of inspirations from Afgan's previous stages that have been elevated.

"Basically, this is the first time Afgan opens up his diary. So we can see the story in full through visuals. The stage will have what we call a mirror perspective. There will be Flor LED and floor LED," said Saptoto Prasetyo when met in the Senayan area, Jakarta, Wednesday (13/5/2026).

1. A Concert That Feels Personal

Afgan himself wants the visuals in his concert to feel very personal for the audience. He aims to create an atmosphere that makes people feel like they are in his own world while watching the performance.

"Visually, we are creating it at home, as personal as possible, something people may have never seen before. I want to bring back how amazing music is by providing a different experience," explained Afgan.

2. Involve Many Experts

The preparation for this concert involves many experts in the production field. The promoters have partnered with several big names to design the stage and lighting to achieve the target of "Grand Symphonic Universe".

"We are also bringing in Mas Widi as head of production. There’s also Mas Sabil who will design the stage and lighting. And let’s not forget the fun of Mbak Asti who will lead the show as show director," said Dolly Sartika, the promoter.

3. 18 Years of Afgan's Career

The production team is committed to providing a complete experience of 18 years of Afgan's career for ticket holders. Every aspect, from sound to visual presentation, is curated meticulously to align with the orchestral music performed.

"We discussed and created how the visuals, lighting, sound, appearance, and music arrangements should be; we call it the grand symphonic universe," concluded Saptoto Prasetyo.
