After Being Ill, Nikita Mirzani's Condition is Now Gradually Improving

The health condition of Nikita Mirzani, who is currently being detained at the Pondok Bambu detention center in East Jakarta, has attracted public attention. She has been reported to be experiencing health issues that have disrupted her activities in recent times.

Nikita's lawyer, Usman Lawara, revealed that his client had indeed suffered from an illness that required medical treatment in the hospital. This condition occurred some time ago when the intensity of the pain she felt was quite high.

"Nikita yesterday indeed experienced pain in that area (tooth) at the last time we accompanied her to the hospital. After that, her condition improved, thank God she is healthy now, and can engage in casual conversations again," Usman stated when met by KapanLagi at the Pondok Bambu detention center in East Jakarta on Thursday (8/4/2026).

During that time, Nikita was even said to have difficulty communicating normally due to the pain she was experiencing. This posed a unique challenge for the legal team when they wanted to discuss matters.

"In the past, it was hard to talk to her. She was in pain, so whatever we said, she was in pain, including the dental implants," Usman explained.

The health issues faced by Nikita are not only related to her teeth but also to her spine. This condition was even mentioned in previous court sessions as a matter that requires serious attention.

"This needs to be addressed immediately because if not, it could affect the nerves—brain nerves going everywhere," Usman continued to explain.

The legal counsel stated that the condition of the backbone could worsen if not promptly addressed medically. In fact, one of the suggested options is surgery.

"Two actions need to be taken immediately; the first is therapy, but if therapy is done while Nikita is incarcerated, it will quickly relapse, so surgery is preferable," said Usman.

Efforts to obtain permission for treatment have been made by the legal team. They submitted a request for Nikita to receive treatment outside of detention, but so far have not received approval. This treatment request has even been submitted since the trial period.

"At that time, we requested that the Judge allow Nikita to undergo surgery at the back. But it was not granted, there was no opportunity given, no time allocated, they said she was already healthy," explained Usman.

Although she has not received optimal treatment for her back pain, Nikita's condition is generally reported to be much better compared to before. She can now engage in activities and communicate more smoothly. "Her condition looks good, healthy, thank God she is healthy, now she is healthy," said Usman.

In addition, the dental issues that were previously complained about have also subsided. Previously, Nikita had experienced a toothache that required her to be taken to the hospital for treatment. "Oh, for the previous one, yes, she did have a toothache and was taken to the hospital, but at the moment she is in good condition, in good health," Usman concluded.

With her condition gradually improving, the legal representatives hope that Nikita's health remains stable. They also emphasize the importance of further medical treatment, especially for the spinal issues that still have the potential to recur at any time.
