After Being Reprimanded by KPI for Resembling a Woman, Ivan Gunawan Resigns from the Brownis Show

Kapanlagi.com - Ivan Gunawan made a surprising decision after being reprimanded by KPI for wearing women's clothing on the Brownis Trans TV show. He chose to resign from the show hosted with Ayu Ting Ting, Ruben Onsu, and Wendy Cagur.

Ivan announced this yesterday, Monday (8/1), through his personal Instagram account. He uploaded a video clip of his time as a host on Brownis and expressed his gratitude to his colleagues who have worked with him.

1. Not a Gimmick

Ivan also expressed his gratitude to the Trans TV producer who has provided him with a place to work. However, he has decided to leave the talk show.

"Thank you @brownis_ttv for giving me a place to work all this time @ruben_onsu @ayutingting92 @wendicagur, sorry for any mistakes we made while working together, mba @jck_desaratu thank you for the opportunity. Sorry to mamih for continuing my life elsewhere," Ivan wrote.

After saying goodbye, Ivan bid farewell to his friends on the Brownis show. Ayu Ting Ting cried while hugging him, and Ruben and Wendy couldn't hold back their sadness.

In the Brownis show, Ivan emphasized that his departure from the show is not just a gimmick. "My decision is final, it's not a gimmick. I'm speaking consciously, not out of anger. I feel that I have a platform to support many people. I feel that my career in Brownis should end today. Thank you, Ayu, Wendy, and mba Jess," Ivan said on the show.

2. Reprimand from KPI

Previously, Ivan received a reprimand from KPI because he appeared on the Brownis show wearing women's clothing. The reprimand was given by KPI in writing after Ivan appeared in tight black clothes and a crown on his head.

KPI assessed that what Ivan did was an attempt to normalize the appearance of men as women and display it in front of the public. This reprimand then led Ivan to decide to withdraw from the Brownis show.
