After Two Years, David Bayu Admits He Still Can't Believe NAIF Can Disband

Kapanlagi.com - David Bayu, after NAIF disbanded, is now known to continue his career as a solo singer. Although he is pursuing a solo career, David Bayu said that he is still happy that NAIF's hit songs are still frequently sung until now.

Some of NAIF's songs that are still stuck in people's ears are Jikalau, Benci Untuk Mencinta, Piknik 72. Therefore, for David Bayu, he considers this as a special blessing for him.

"It's a blessing for me, those songs are still there and I'm definitely happy," said David Bayu when met at M Bloc, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (25/7).

"Who wouldn't be happy to create something that is enjoyed by many people and accompanies their lives, surely they would be happy. It's a lie if you're not happy to be liked by people," he continued.

1. Unexpected Disbandment

Not only that, he also did not expect NAIF's songs to become so famous. What David Bayu did not expect was that NAIF had to disband.

"Actually, we (NAIF) didn't expect this (disbandment)," said David while laughing.

2. Disbanded after 25 Years of Career

It is known that NAIF disbanded after 25 years of presence in the Indonesian music industry. The disbandment of this band began after the departure of their bassist, Mohammad Amil Hussein or Emil, and drummer, Franki Indrasmoro Sumbodo or Pepeng.

After that, David Bayu announced the official disbandment of NAIF on May 10, 2021. However, the exact reason for the disbandment of the band formed in 1995 is unknown, but David has revealed that there were indeed internal issues.
