Ahmad Dhani Intentionally Insults the Pono Clan, Rayen Pono: That Slip of the Tongue is Nonsense

Regarding Ahmad Dhani's claim that his statement was a "slip of the tongue," Rayen firmly denied this. He believes that Dhani intentionally made that statement in a derogatory context. "Regarding that slip of the tongue, that's nonsense. I see he intentionally said it, joking or belittling," he said.

According to Rayen, such jokes are only appropriate within a close circle of friends. Meanwhile, he does not have a personal relationship with Ahmad Dhani. "For me, joking is between circles. I and Mas Dhani are not friends; I know Mas Dhani through the process of an open debate. I am not in the circle; I only know Mas Dhani just like the entire public knows him," he said.

Rayen also considers the excuse of a misstatement irrelevant because, according to him, Dhani mentioned the name "Rayen Porno" intentionally and repeatedly. This shows intent to insult. "Regarding legal violations, it's determined by the fact that if he claims it's a slip of the tongue, when it was intentionally typo'd to Rayen Porno and intentionally repeated, it proves he belittles this narrative. So talking about a slip of the tongue is nonsense," he asserted.

Although an open apology has been made, Rayen admitted that he has not received a personal apology from Ahmad Dhani. He emphasized that the legal process is still ongoing. "As of today, there has been no apology. The legal process at the police headquarters is still ongoing; we are still waiting for a summons. Yes, that's roughly it," he said.

Rayen also lamented the energy and time that the MKD has to spend just to teach a council member to apologize. According to him, as a representative of the people, Ahmad Dhani should have the maturity to behave appropriately.

"So for me, the MKD has to exhaust itself from all its busyness, initiating this hearing just to teach a council member to apologize for his mistakes. Actually, that level of wisdom should be possessed by representatives of the people," he stated.

From this issue, Rayen assesses that Ahmad Dhani is not ready to become a member of the DPR. He describes this incident as a reflection of Dhani's unpreparedness in carrying out his duties as a representative of the people.

"This is a minor and trivial mistake but fundamental, assessing the capacity, readiness, and capability of someone to be a member of the council. Through this issue, I assess that Ahmad Dhani is not ready, Ahmad Dhani has failed, and Ahmad Dhani is not worthy of being a council member," concluded Rayen Pono.
