The wedding reception of El Rumi on Sunday, April 26, 2026, is sure to be a lively party with the presence of the band Dewa 19. Ahmad Dhani confirmed that his band will be one of the main performers on his son's happy day.
However, there is something interesting behind the plan for the band's appearance. Although performing at his own child's event, Dhani emphasized that the management of Dewa 19 will still be paid professionally without any family discount.
Dhani candidly stated that he himself will cover all the performance fees for his band. This is done to maintain the professionalism of his band's management.
"Perform, perform, perform. Oh yes (paid professionally). His father is the one who pays," said Ahmad Dhani when met in the Dharmawangsa area, South Jakarta, on Friday (24/05/2026).
The wedding party of El Rumi will not only be enlivened by Dewa 19. Dhani revealed that there will be a surprise in the form of a performance by an internationally renowned male singer.
Although he is not yet willing to reveal the singer's real name, Dhani provided a little hint regarding the identity of the international singer. This is done to add an exclusive impression to the international reception event in Jakarta later.
"There will also be an international singer. The initials are B. A guy," revealed Ahmad Dhani.
In addition to entertainment matters, Dhani also shared information about who will act as the witness for El Rumi's wedding. He mentioned that the witness is an important figure from the government ranks.
The presence of a minister as a witness is expected to add to the sanctity of El Rumi's wedding ceremony. However, Dhani is still keeping the name of the minister who has agreed to attend a secret. "There will be a minister as the witness," he explained further.
Regarding the costs or dowry prepared by El Rumi, Dhani chose not to comment much. He admitted that he does not interfere in the financial matters that his son has prepared for his future wife. "I don't know about that. I'm not involved in paying for it," concluded Dhani.
