Aldi Taher Turns Sensation into Culinary Business, Inspired by Oasis

But thank God, this can be said to be yesterday because it became the concept like Oasis, right, Gallagher, Burger. Wow, that’s also 'ger'. So I got an idea from there," he said when met in the Captain Tendean area, Mampang, South Jakarta, not long ago.

The public's response to Aldi Taher's new business has been very positive. Since the opening, his burger stall has received high attention, and even reviews from food content creators on social media have reached fantastic viewer numbers.

"Earlier he tried it and said it was good, Bro, the burger. Yes, earlier when it opened, Alhamdulillah, the appreciation was really high. There were many food vloggers and notable figures reviewing it, reaching over a million views. And I actually just really like burgers," said Aldi.

Besides the factor of popularity, Aldi also considers the aspect of capital in running his business. He chose the burger business because it does not require a large initial investment and the raw materials for the seasonings are not as complex as traditional Indonesian cuisine.

"The capital is also not too large for burgers. And it also doesn't require a lot of seasonings," explained the husband of Salsabilih.

This early success made Aldi start thinking about expanding the business outside the city. The high demand from his followers on TikTok who wanted to taste his burgers made Aldi realize that his potential market was not only in Jakarta.

"Yeah, maybe the burgers first. Alhamdulillah, many have asked, 'Bro, open in Bandung, open all the way to Bali, Jogja bro, open bro.' Because they see it on TikTok, it's popular, they want to try it but the distance is far. Even people come from outside the city, traveling a long way to try Aldi's Burger, Alhamdulillah," he said.

For Aldi, material gain is not the only goal in business. He feels happy when his business is appreciated by customers, and what is most important to him is being able to create job opportunities for others in need.

"If we are talking about selling food, then we are, Alhamdulillah, appreciated by many who buy it, we are very happy about that. And of course, it also opens up job opportunities, right," concluded Aldi Taher.
