Dr. Richard Lee finally speaks out about his experience with Aldy Maldini that happened six years ago. He feels the need to voice this because many of Aldy's fans are now reporting similar experiences.
The incident occurred when he still had four branches of beauty clinics, including Athena Lampung. Richard invited several artists including Chika Jessica and Aldy Maldini to attend the opening event. Here are the details leading up to the conflict.
"So six years ago, I still remember my branches were still four, Athena Lampung, at that time I invited several artists. I invited Chika Jessica, I also invited Aldy Maldini at that time, then the agency," said Richard Lee in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Monday (11/5/2025).
Richard Lee claimed to have paid the fee, and Aldy even made a promotional video. The video was used to support the event's promotion and attract patients to come.
"He was paid directly, and Aldy Maldini even made a video saying 'see you at the opening of Athena Lampung.' I also sold it, so if you get treatment at Athena Lampung, you can take a photo together or watch Aldy Maldini at that time," he said.
"But on the day itself, he didn't come, and we felt really embarrassed because patients were promised that they would take photos with Chika and Aldy, but it turned out Aldy didn't show up," he explained.
When asked if there was any intention from Aldy, Richard left that judgment to the public. However, he noted that the pattern of events he experienced was similar to what fans are currently complaining about.
"Whether it was intentional or not, that might be asked to the person themselves, I see there are some similarities in the pattern between me and the fans, whether he had to or not, what the reason is, maybe you should ask him, the complaints are quite a lot," he said.
Richard also admitted that he never received a clear reason for Aldy's absence. He had a tense moment with Aldy, who claimed that the event should be postponed.
"It was unclear, no confirmation, he asked for the grand opening to be postponed, 'I can't do it' he insisted at that time saying 'I already told you to postpone it' well, that can't be done. That's why I hinted, 'What if you're invited to a wedding, should the wedding just be postponed?' then he replied 'the problem is I'm not at the wedding,' he said," he explained. /far
