Ivan Gunawan is preparing to perform the Hajj pilgrimage on May 28, 2025. The presenter and designer admits he can’t wait to go to the holy land.

"If there are prayers, I will try to note them down. So, I want to pray for whoever, their names will be noted. So I will bring a notebook," Ivan Gunawan stated in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, some time ago.

Ivan also knows the locations believed to be effective for offering prayers. He wants to ensure that all the trusts entrusted to him can be fulfilled.

"Pray for me wherever, I already know the spots, and I can definitely carry it out. When someone asks for a prayer, it must be done. So, God willing, I will note it down," Ivan Gunawan added.

Not only about prayers, Ivan also started to gradually pack the supplies he will take to the holy land. He plans to bring two suitcases when he goes for Hajj.

"I intend to bring two suitcases, and when I return, I will leave the clothes I wore during Hajj and give them to others. So, I might come back with just one suitcase," he explained.

Interestingly, Ivan's Hajj plan this year coincides with Ruben Onsu's departure. However, Ivan cannot guarantee that he will be with Ruben throughout the worship.

"For me, this is not because of our friendship. But qadarullah, it’s given a situation, given a plan that we never had. When Allah provides ease, we can be friends who always support each other during worship, that's all," he explained.

Ivan also expressed his admiration for Ruben, who has just embraced Islam. He feels that his friend's spiritual journey is extraordinary and deserves to be appreciated.

"For me, Ruben is really amazing, just logged in, immediately invited by Allah to perform Hajj, that's Masya Allah. I mean, not everyone can get that," said Ivan Gunawan.
