Paula Verhoeven Reports to the Judicial Commission Regarding the Divorce Ruling, Presents Two Witnesses

Kapanlagi.com - Paula Verhoeven seems to be taking action in response to her divorce proceedings with Baim Wong. Through her lawyer, Siti Aminah, Paula has taken serious steps by reporting to various institutions, ranging from the Judicial Commission to the National Commission on Violence Against Women.

Paula Verhoeven has been questioned by the Judicial Commission regarding allegations of ethical violations in her divorce process. The examination took place on May 5, 2025, and also involved several witnesses presented by her legal team.

"Mrs. Paula was examined or provided testimony for about 2 hours. There were around 20 questions asked, and Mrs. Paula answered well. Meanwhile, the two witnesses have also been examined," said Siti Aminah in the Cikini area, Central Jakarta, not long ago.

In addition to the examination of Paula, the Judicial Commission also summoned several parties involved in the case. This summoning includes the judges who are suspected of violating the code of ethics.

"The Judicial Commission itself stated that the statements from Mrs. Paula and these two witnesses are considered sufficient. Furthermore, on Wednesday, the Judicial Commission conducted an examination or requested statements from three judges whom we reported regarding the alleged violation of the code of ethics and conduct guidelines," said Siti Aminah.

Paula's legal counsel stated that the Judicial Commission is currently reviewing the statements and evidence that have been collected. The results of this review will later serve as the basis for whether a violation actually occurred or not.

"That is the update for the complaint to the Judicial Commission," she said.

2. Report to the National Commission on Violence Against Women

Meanwhile, regarding the divorce case that is the main issue, Paula has not remained silent and has taken further legal action. One of the ways is by filing an appeal against the previous decision.

"In the coming weeks, we will certainly be preparing a counter-memo for the appeal to submit back to the e-court system provided," she explained.

Not only reporting the alleged ethical violations, Paula also submitted a report to the National Commission on Violence Against Women. This institution indeed has the authority to review allegations of violations against women's rights, including in the context of gender-based violence.

"The National Commission on Violence Against Women, as far as I know, has the task of providing advice and input. So the National Commission documents gender-based violence against women and provides advice and recommendations. The processes, perhaps friends can also inquire with the National Commission on Violence Against Women," Siti Aminah revealed.
