Aliff Alli Becomes a Suspect and Has Been Detained, Aska Ongi Feels Satisfied

As the reporter, Aska Ongi expressed satisfaction that Aliff Alli has been named a suspect. What makes Aska Ongi even more satisfied is that the police immediately detained Aliff Alli. The suspect designation was made by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Tuesday (1/3/2022).

"I am satisfied because it is in line with what I wanted, he is detained, and he has to take responsibility," said Aska Ongi when met at Muannas Alaidid & Associates, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/3/2022).

1. Seven Years in Prison

Aska Ongi's lawyer, Ahmad Ramzi, explained that the Malaysian actor is facing a seven-year prison sentence. The legal threat refers to Article 266 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code (KUHP).

"That's a seven-year punishment according to Article 266. Regarding the verdict, it means that we reported it with the alleged article and we hope the verdict will be maximum, in line with the punishment," said Ahmad Ramzi.

2. Grateful to Be Designated as a Suspect

Aska Ongi's report was actually registered last year in 2020. However, the case has been processed again this year and Aska Ongi was even questioned in January. As Aska Ongi's legal representative, Ahmad Ramzi appreciates the police for continuing the process despite taking up to two years.

"As a legal advisor, we finally follow up and now he is a suspect and detained. So, Aska's current hope is not in vain for reporting to the police that Alhamdulillah he has been designated as a suspect. We hope it will be processed quickly until it reaches the court," said Ahmad Ramzi.

"Meaning, after being examined as a suspect, the case will be filed to the prosecutor's office for p21 and to the court. We are ready to accompany this case to the court, and Aska is ready to come as a witness," he added.

3. No Peaceful Solution

The feud between Aska Ongi and Aliff Alli has been going on for quite some time. It is not surprising that Aska Ongi has also closed the door to peace if Aliff Alli requests a peaceful resolution. According to Aska Ongi's other lawyer, Aulia Fahmi, they have taken a stance to not provide any opportunity for peace to alleviate Aliff Alli.

"Regarding the peace efforts, I received a chat this morning from one of his lawyers. We have taken a stance because this issue has occurred repeatedly, where there was a previous domestic violence report that has now been withdrawn. Then, this issue continues to escalate. Therefore, we have taken a stance until now, there is no door for peace. We still want this case to proceed to court," concluded Aulia Fahmi.

4. The Beginning of Suspicion

Suspicion regarding document forgery by Aliff Alli began when he wanted to obtain a birth certificate for his child at the South Jakarta Civil Registry and Population Office last year. However, it was rejected because Aska Ongi's residence had changed to Central Jakarta.

From there, Aska's suspicion arose. He suspected that Aliff had forged his ID card to obtain a birth certificate for their child, so he decided to report the father of his child to the police.

5. Checked for Quite a Long Time

Before being named a suspect, Aliff Alli underwent a fairly long examination. Nevertheless, this father of one child remained cooperative during the examination.

"The examination started from yesterday afternoon until night, of course there were breaks in between. Cooperative," he said.
