Alleged Abuse Case of Former Maid Erin Moves to Investigation Stage

The alleged abuse case reported by Herawati against Erin, the ex-wife of Andre Taulany, has entered a new chapter. The investigators of the South Jakarta Metro Police have elevated the status of the case from investigation to prosecution.

Hera's attorney, Deolipa Yumara, stated that she came to the South Jakarta Metro Police to coordinate and receive the Notification of Commencement of Investigation (SPDP) as a copy for the reporting party.

"The case is that Hera reported Mrs. Erin. So the investigator called because there is indeed coordination, especially regarding the case that has risen to prosecution," said Deolipa Yumara at the South Jakarta Police, Tuesday (30/6/2026).

"From investigation to prosecution. So the documents are already available. One of them is that we received the SPDP as a copy to the reporter," he added.

According to Deolipa, the elevation of the case status indicates that the investigator has found elements of a crime, so the legal process will continue if a resolution is not achieved through the Restorative Justice (RJ) mechanism."If there is no reconciliation, if there is no RJ, of course the case will proceed," he emphasized.

He explained that the change in case status also requires the previous examination documents to be adjusted. The Minutes of Examination (BAP) is now updated to become an investigative document that is pro justitia."When the status is elevated, the BAP is changed to pro justitia. So the documents are adjusted in the investigative process," he explained.

Meanwhile, Hera has not returned for questioning. Her client is still in West Java and is waiting for a follow-up call from the investigator after all investigation administration is completed.

"Hera is still waiting for a call. Now the investigation documents are available, the SPDP is also available. After that, there will be investigation calls," concluded Deolia.
