After isolating himself at home for about 2 weeks, Detri finally took a rapid test using a device from his friend. And the result turned out to be negative. However, Detri explained that the result from the device is not 100% valid.

"Actually, I just posted about the rapid test. Rapid tests are fast tests and their accuracy level is not as accurate as the ones at the hospital, which is the swab test that goes into the nose. So if I get tested at the hospital, the plan is tomorrow on Tuesday at RSPAD, I will undergo all the tests, chest X-ray, blood test, blood pressure test, and swab test. So the most valid answer will probably be on Tuesday if it is indeed declared negative," said Detri when contacted by KapanLagi.com, Monday (30/3/2020).

1. Wait for Official Results from RSPAD

The rapid test tool is actually released for people who have never had a check-up or been detected, not patients like Detri who have previously had a check-up. But because he borrowed it from his friend, he used it just to find out. The valid results will only come out after he undergoes a test at RSPAD later.

"True, because on March 15th I was declared positive and I blew it up to the media, I was declared positive by RSPAD, not the rapid test. That's why the first answer is the result from RSPAD, the next negative or positive answer must come from RSPAD after my quarantine period is over," he continued.

Although the negative result shown on the tool is not entirely valid, at least Detri can breathe a little easier. The incident experienced by Detri can also be a lesson for all of us that healthy people who are not sick are also at risk of being infected with the corona virus.

"The 3 people exposed in my house are the driver, personal assistant, and me, the personal assistant of my mother. The 3 of them were exposed without any symptoms, that's called a silent carrier. Same as me, no symptoms at all. Then one by one they were given a rapid test, just held by the Health Department. Held, meaning later at the end, towards the 14-day quarantine, just a test. Actually, the level of accuracy may not be up to 50 percent. But at least we can find out whether it's negative or positive," Detri concluded.
