Good News, Three Covid-19 Positive Patients in Malang City Declared Recovered

Kapanlagi.com - Three positive patients Covid-19 from Malang City have been declared recovered and allowed to go home. Two people were declared recovered on Saturday (28/3), while one person had already returned a week ago, Saturday (21/3).

Head of Public Relations of Malang City Government, Nur Widianto, stated that the two positive patients who were discharged had undergone treatment at the hospital for about two weeks with the status of Patients Under Supervision (PDP). Later on, these patients were found to be positive for Covid-19, as it takes some time to determine the test results of a patient.

"We are grateful because the positive PDP in Malang City has been declared recovered. However, they are still under observation and we still ask them to self-isolate first, meaning they should only do activities at home. The same goes for close contacts, in this case with family members," said Nur Widianto.

1. PDP in Malang

Meanwhile, there are currently 6 PDP patients who are still being treated intensively, consisting of two patients at Lavalette Hospital, two patients at RKZ, and one patient each at Malang City Hospital and Prima Husada Hospital. As for the PDP patients who have passed away, there are 2 recorded, namely patients from Saiful Anwar Hospital and RKZ.

Until now, the total number of ODP (People Under Monitoring) is 156, consisting of 90 residents of Malang City and 48 ODP from the healthcare workers. Meanwhile, 18 individuals have been declared free from ODP status as they have passed the monitoring period and their condition has improved.

2. Appeal

Wiwid urges the people of Malang to comply with the appeal for social distancing, activity at home, and physical distancing, as well as maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

"Because those who have recovered have gradually increased their immune system. Corona can be cured, but it is better and more important not to infect us all," she explained.

Meanwhile, the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Malang Regency is five, and one of them passed away on March 14, 2020. Currently, the number in Malang Regency is the highest compared to Malang City and Batu. Batu City itself has one confirmed case of Covid-19.
