The departure for Hajj of Anang Hermansyah and Ashanty this year feels very special. This moment coincides with the celebration of their wedding anniversary, making it the most memorable gift throughout their marriage.

However, behind the happiness, there is a touching atmosphere surrounding their departure. Their daughter, Arsy Hermansyah, cannot hold back her tears because she has to be separated from her parents for quite a long time.

Ashanty recounts how their daughter keeps crying because she feels heavy being left for about 20 days. Until now, Arsy has rarely been apart for a long time from either Anang or Ashanty.

"Arsy has been crying continuously because he has never been left alone for this long, about 20 days. He cries because he is sad, but this is for worship. So, Brother (Arsy) needs to understand that Mom and Dad are going for worship. God willing, there will be Brother (Loly/Aurel) to take care of him," said Ashanty when met at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Monday (18/5/2026).

Anang Hermansyah also acknowledged that being able to go on pilgrimage with his wife during their anniversary month is an extraordinary blessing. He feels this is the perfect time to pray together.

"Yes, this is our gift to be able to go because it coincides with... this month we are celebrating our wedding anniversary. So we are grateful that it turns out to be the right month," Anang expressed.

Regarding the celebration of their wedding anniversary in the Holy Land, this couple chose to remain focused on the essence of worship. Ashanty also kept secret the special prayers that she would recite in front of the Kaaba later.

"Let that be a personal secret between us and Allah. There are prayers meant for just the two of us as a couple, especially since this is our anniversary month. May it be blessed and may we have a successful pilgrimage. Amen," Ashanty said again.

They both requested prayers from the public so that for the next 20 days, the children left behind in Jakarta remain healthy and safe under the supervision of Aurel Hermansyah.
