1. The Process of Angga and Dodit Building Their Roles as Twin Brothers

Dodit shared about the beginning of his involvement in this film when asked about his role as Angga's twin brother. He mentioned that the decision was also influenced by Angga's enthusiasm for the project. "Actually, at first, I didn’t want to. But, the director said, 'but Mas Angga is already excited,' so, okay, I’ll do it," he joked when met at Metropole XXI, Central Jakarta, Friday (19/12/2025).

To delve into the role of a twin brother, Dodit and Angga underwent acting training together. Dodit even tried to align his body gestures to appear similar to Angga's character. In addition to rehearsals, they often played games to build chemistry and closeness with each other.

Angga Yunanda confirmed this process and stated that Dodit was very dedicated in adjusting his body movements. He said Dodit often followed his every move. "Mas Dodit always follows my movements, that’s why sometimes I feel lazy to move," Angga said while laughing. He also praised Dodit as someone who puts in full effort in building his character.

From the perspective of challenges, Angga revealed that he had to maintain concentration during the shooting process, as the other actors always had funny ways to break his focus. He also mentioned that from this film, he learned about the workings of comedy.

Meanwhile, Dodit stated that his biggest challenge was matching his physical character with Angga's character. He admitted that he had to shave his mustache every morning. "Every morning I have to shave my mustache, because Hestu doesn’t have a mustache, right? When my mustache is gone, I feel really lazy," he joked. In addition, he also had to dye his hair every day, because some parts of it had already turned white.

Angga also revealed that his main reason for accepting the offer to act in this film was because Dodit was also involved. He mentioned that the film's script felt funny from the very first read. "When I was told about the script, it was already very funny and entertaining. But, there is still a deep meaning to the film itself," said Angga.

In addition to Angga Yunanda and Dodit Mulyanto, this film also stars Wavi Zihan as Nisa, Oki Rengga as Kotrek, and Nopek Novian as Ki Mangun. The presence of the actors also enlivened the film BEFORE GRANDMA COMES. This horror-comedy genre film is scheduled to be released in Indonesian cinemas on January 22, 2026.
