Review 'PESUGIHAN SATE GAGAK' Movieverse Version

The film PESUGIHAN SATE GAGAK offers a different horror-comedy viewing experience compared to most films of its kind. Directed by Etienne Caesar and Dono Pradana, this film combines absurd humor with typical Indonesian mystical stories, presented in a light yet relevant manner. Since its release in theaters on November 13, 2025, the film has immediately captured attention with its quirky concept and continuous flowing comedy throughout its duration.

The story centers around three friends who, faced with economic problems, choose a shortcut by performing an unusual wealth ritual. They must sell crow satay to supernatural beings while in the nude, a premise that sounds odd but is executed cleverly. The presence of various ghost characters actually becomes a consistent source of humor, reinforced by spontaneous dialogue and unexpected punchlines reminiscent of classic sketch comedy styles.

Andika_ 9/10. The film Pesugihan Sate Gagak has a light story, the dialogue and comedic style remind us of Srimulat and sketches. Almost every minute, it presents various random and absurd sequences repeatedly, entertaining.

Dhita_ I rarely watch a comedy horror film as funny as this. From start to finish, I couldn't stop laughing. It's a mix of quirky and intentional. This is really clever comedy! The film is simple, featuring 3 people who are in a financial bind. Initially, they don't want to participate in the pesugihan because of economic pressure, but they are forced to. The ritual involves cooking crow satay while naked and selling it to various demons. The buyers include all sorts of demons, from pocong, sundel bolong, to silver demons, making it genuinely hilarious. The visuals, the tone, are beautiful, and the lighting is great too.

Aditya_ The horror-comedy vibe of Pesugihan Sate Gagak is really strong, plus its teaser is unique and I like it! The comedy is tight, fast-paced. The punchlines are also unpredictable. It's really cool, the creative team is truly outstanding, bringing all the local demons to the cinema, making people curious about the film. You must watch it to experience the sensation of eating satay in the cinema with the demons.

Amanda_ I rate the movie 10/10. I swear this film is really fresh. You don’t need to think too hard, just laugh until your jaw and cheeks hurt watching their antics. The storyline is great, the comedy, drama, and horror are all spot on. The entire cast is amazing, the acting is top-notch, no kidding! Good job to the producer, director, writer, all the cast, and crew of Pesugihan Sate Gagak… it definitely has to break 20 million.
