Angger Dimas & Tamara Tyasmara Agree They Want the Death Penalty for Yudha Arfandi, No More Forgiveness

Kapanlagi.com - A year has passed since the departure of Dante, the son of Tamara Tyasmara and Angger Dimas, both still share one hope, which is the death penalty for Yudha Arfandi, the defendant in the premeditated murder of their child.

Although they no longer have a direct relationship, Tamara ensures that as parents, she and Angger agree they want the heaviest punishment for the perpetrator. Moreover, Dante is their only son.

"There’s no communication, of course, as parents we definitely want the heaviest punishment, because we both feel the loss of our only child," said Tamara when met in the Gudang Peluru area, Tebet, South Jakarta, on Monday (27/1/2025).

1. File a Cassation because the Sentence is Still Light for the Perpetrator

Until now, the legal process is still ongoing. After the 20-year prison sentence imposed by the East Jakarta District Court, the public prosecutor (JPU) has filed a cassation to the Supreme Court. Tamara hopes this time the judge's decision will align with the initial demands of the public prosecutor, which is the death penalty.

"That's why they (JPU) also filed a cassation, because the verdict is 20 years, which is very far from the demand for the death penalty. I really want the judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia to reject the defendant's appeal, because a life truly cannot be replaced," Tamara asserted.

Nevertheless, the 29-year-old woman realizes that any sentence will not bring back her son's life. The profound sense of loss continues to envelop Tamara, especially when she reminisces about the moments with Dante that can no longer be felt.

2. Never Tired Fighting for Justice for Dante

"It feels really heavy, whatever the punishment, even if it's the death penalty, Dante's life can't be replaced. But at least I hope justice for Dante truly materializes," she said.

Tamara admitted that she has never been tired of fighting for justice for Dante. With the support of her family and the public prosecutor's team who continue to work hard, she believes her struggle will yield the best results.

"The public prosecutor is also working very hard and has filed a cassation. I am very grateful to be surrounded by good people who also want to seek justice for Dante. I will never tire of seeking justice," Tamara said enthusiastically.

3. Prefer Legal Process to Continue, No More Forgiveness

However, regarding the apology from Yudha, Tamara emphasized that it is no longer important. She believes that an apology can never replace her son's life or erase the pain she has experienced.

"There is no need for an apology anymore, everything has passed. Now let the legal process take its course. No need for apologies because an apology is irreplaceable, Dante cannot come back with just an apology," she asserted.

Tamara also hopes that the justice she fights for can serve as a reminder that a person's life should not be taken lightly. She also asks for support from all parties so that the legal process runs smoothly and provides results that meet the family's expectations.

4. Tamara Just Wants Prayers and Support

"Support me to get justice for Dante and hope that the Supreme Court judge rejects the appeal filed by the defendant. Because Dante's life truly cannot be replaced with anything," Tamara concluded with a trembling voice.
