Therefore, the Fairuz party is giving a deadline for the account owners to take immediate action.

"Therefore, we request 3x24 hours to immediately take down, which means 3 days to take down, delete all news and information, and also to convey an apology for spreading defamatory news," he explained firmly.

The legal representatives will not hesitate to bring the individual to court if this warning is ignored. Minola reminded that the criminal threats for spreading hoaxes and defamation are quite severe. This is clearly stated in the ITE Law and the new Criminal Code.

"In Article 433, the threat is 9 months, in Article 434 the threat is 4 years for slander and defamation, and Article 263 for spreading hoax news carries a threat of 6 years," said Minola.

The impact of this hoax news has apparently reached the realm of the extended family and work relations. Many parties have started questioning the truth of their marital status through phone calls.
